JAM

  • Just-A-Minute (JAM) is an all-round fun event that is all about the control of the mind over the mouth. Can you make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without hesitation, repetition or deviation? Or will the sheer pressure make you mumble and have your competitors pounce on you in an instant?

  • Individual participation only. Any number of participants per college

  • A time period of 2 minutes will be given to the participants for thinking on points he/she needs to elaborate and just one minute will be given to speak on his/her topic.

  • Medium of communication shall strictly be English.

  • Judging criteria shall be based on choice of points, confidence, pronunciation, and enunciation, grammar, choice of words, body language and attire (formal).

  • Any involvement of malpractice during the rounds will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Once a participant gets his/her topic, he/she will not be allowed to use his/her phone or talk to any other member.

  • Crossing one minute or finishing before the bell rings shall lead to negative marking.
